Do you trust me?” He raised his brow, and that bad boy sense rolled from his flesh, yet she did trust him. She took another drink and nodded once she set it down. He grabbed her hand and pulled her close. A pull behind her navel reminded her of a kind traveling by stones with her father. This time was different.

Avalon blinked a few times and glanced around to find trees and grass all around them.

“Where are we?” She opened her senses and knew they weren’t in the city anymore. She dropped her shopping bag and purse to the ground. Avalon didn’t feel like holding onto the items anymore.

“A place where I feel at home. I don’t go into the city often. It’s a pain in the ass to hide my horns.” He shrugged, and she leaned closer, rubbing her fingers over his right horn. They were both brown, reminding her of a ram as they curled back. Each one started at the temple and rolled back behind his ears.

“I don’t know why you’d want to hide these. They’re beautiful.” She met his gaze, and heat zipped through her body. They were alone, and she wondered if he did this on purpose or just wanted out of the crowded city and free of human eyes.

He groaned low as a hint of pleasure lit up his face. “Be careful or I might take your sweet ass to a solid tree and ravage you.”

“Do I have a choice?” She paused and lifted her other hand, rubbing the other horn. “Because if I do, I’d pick the second option.”

He leaned down and kissed her. Hot desire pulsed up her body.

“Last chance to walk away,” he grumbled. She took a step back and sadness filled his eyes. A smirk lifted her lips as she pulled off the straps of her dress. “I said I wanted option two. Or are you scared of me? I mean, I am the daughter of Hades.”…Find out more right right now!
