Depending on when you start reading, my stories will depend on whether dragons are in the supernatural closet or not.
General Rules and Notes
Shifting can cause fatigue and make the Dragon pass out. When a dragon sleeps, it shifts back to human form. Most of the time, the dragon’s scales are close to the shade of the human side’s hair. IE- Red hair-> deep red almost black scales or blonde hair-> golden scales.
When a dragon is angry, their eyes sometimes shift over to the dragon’s color. This happens because the dragon is trying to break free. They can also change eyes when they are about to or in the midst of mating.
A human becomes a dragon when bitten with dragon fire.
Dragons age half as fast as humans. They grow like humans until age twenty-one, and then for every four human years is the equivalent to a human aging a year.
They do heal quickly, but they are not immune to death.
Mating
When a dragon finds his/her mate, to bind them, they must mark each other during or right after sex. If one side marks and the other doesn’t, the dragon will slowly go crazy. After three or four days, the dragon will take over and go on a rampage. The first twenty-four hours are crucial, in that time. If the side trying to deny the bond gives in, then the dragon will calm down enough to complete the bond.
The human side will struggle to gain control of the dragon, and only when after a few days, unless killed with the dragon goes almost silent. On the anniversary of the first rampage, the dragon will reawaken and go on another rampage until killed or mated.
Summer/Winter Solstice Pack with witches. (This is relevant for books before Lucas)
In the early eighteen hundreds, dragons were being hunted just as much as the witches. So, all of the alphas of each clan met with the leaders of each coven. They made a pact that twice a year, they would cast a protection spell as long as they were there to protect the witches. Every winter and summer solstice, they cast their protection spell over the world, and no one who doesn’t have supernatural blood can’t see you.
