Snippet Time for Sold to Jupiter!

Release Day!

Snippet from the book! 🙂

Snap! Phoebe lunged for the chandelier and grabbed onto the gold design. The distance to the floor was still too far for her to land safely. She felt like a rag doll with the wind batting her around.

“Help!” she screamed again, and this time the doors opened with Rodrick scanning the room.

“What the hell?” he yelled as he half-ran, half-glided over to her. “Let go. I’ll catch you.” He opened up his arms, and she swallowed hard. The pressure gave way to her body, and she didn’t think as her fingers released from the death grip. She collided with him, knocking him back to the ground.

“Oh, thank goodness.” She clenched his shirt and jacket, and he inched his way to his feet.

“Why were you in here?” He growled as she fought the wind to get back to the door.

“Some guy tossed me in. Said he’s your right hand, and he didn’t want to lose that to me.” She buried herself into his chest, and his grip on her tightened. He kicked open the door, and it heaved open for a moment and then closed. They barely made it out. Bits of her hair were caught when the door closed and pulled from the roots when he kept walking. She winced at the hints of pain but pushed down the whimper. She was alive and not in danger of being pulled outside.

“No one goes in there!” Rodrick boomed at the two guards standing a few feet away.

“Yes, King Alpha.” They called back, and Rodrick strolled away with purpose. After turning a few times, they passed the room she had been stashed in earlier, and she glanced at him.

“Is there a reason you’re not taking me to my own room?”

“What did he say again?” He rumbled as he turned a corner. Two guards in purple opened the double doors, then closed them after they entered the room.

“Where am I?” She looked around the large room. The walls were a deep shade of blue with a huge-ass poster bed. He set her down on the edge, and she adjusted her windblown hair.

“Answer the question.” He growled low, and she sat up straighter.

“Seriously?” She stood, and her chest almost bumped into him. “He said something about me being your mate and how he didn’t want that, but it can’t seriously be true. I mean, I’m a freaking wreck from the lowest class on Earth.” She snapped her mouth shut since she felt like she was starting to ramble.

“I don’t give a shit where you came from.” He wrapped his hands around her waist and brought her against his muscular body. “You’re mine.”
